Friday was the book launch party for Blank, and thanks to all the friends and family members that showed up (and helped out), it was more than I could have dreamed. It was amazing to look around the room and see so many friends, old and new, family members, colleagues, kids of all ages, students, and some wonderful people I met for the very first time. I smiled so much and so big that my cheeks started to ache. What a blast. My only regret was that I didn’t get a chance to chat with everyone more.
Pages Books, my awesome neighbourhood book shop, was there selling books. There was a line-up to get a reading from JoAnn the palm reader, people of all ages were scribbling away at the giant Doodle Wall, people snapped silly photos at the selfie photo booth, kids consumed way too much sugar and, thankfully, it looked like people were having a good time.
My friends and family that helped out with the set-up and clean-up for the party were rock stars. And my daughters, who helped me prepare for the party for months, were the shining stars of the evening. I will never forget that day, and I owe it to all of them.
I won’t bore you with any more description because the photos say it all.
Thank you to everyone who came to help me celebrate! It meant a lot to have you there.
So sad to have not been there with you to celebrate Trina. Come to Montreal for a book signing, I’ll do the set up and the clean up for you in a heartbeat!
so awesome!
